Job summary

Henderson Products Inc in Manchester, IA is seeking a Fabricator to set up and operate fabrication machines (Brake Press, Lasers, Drills, Saws) per SOP, with night shift hours 3:30pm–1:30am and a 20 minute lunch, flexible start times.

You will read blueprints, calculate tonnage for punching and shearing, identify steel types, operate overhead hoist, and fabricate parts to blueprint specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and 5S standards as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Basic shop math, ability to read a tape measure and use a protractor.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Calculate tonnage for punching and shearing.
• Identify different steel types and gauges.
• Operate overhead hoist.
• Preferred 1000 hours of trade school; fabrication experience.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

As a Fabricator you will be responsible for the set up and operation of fabrication machines Brake Press Lasers Drills Saws in accordance with established standard operating procedures SOP and guidelines Fabricators must have the ability to understand blueprints to fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using the appropriate machine and process Performs designated maintenance functions assumes ownership for quality participates in training performs daily 5S activities works as a team and maintains all safety standards

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

• Required Knowledge of basic shop math ability to read a tap measure and utilize a protractor
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
• Calculate tonnage for punching and sheering

WORKING CONDITIONS
