Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. in Georgia seeks an Injection Machine Operator to run injection molding machines and a crane system, ensuring production of high-quality preforms and bottles.

You will monitor resin feeds, coordinate color changes, perform basic maintenance, and ensure adherence to SQMS quality standards while following safety policies. This role supports a clean, efficient production line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Familiarity with RF scanners or basic computer systems is a plus.
• OSHA forklift certification preferred; employer provides training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and run injection molding machines and crane system per procedures.
• Monitor resin and colorant feed to ensure proper production and colors.
• Inspect output against quality specs and report issues to supervisor.
• Complete scrap tracking tags/labels and process scrap as directed.
• Perform maintenance like neck rings changes and mold cleanings as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety guidelines.

We are now seeking talented individuals to join our team for the following role:JOB TITLE: Injection Machine OperatorREPORTS TO: Team LeaderSUMMARY: Responsible for operation of injection molding equipment, crane system and any related equipment that is necessary to assure production of injection molded parts of optimum quality.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary.1. Start, stop, and run injection molding machines and crane system per established safety and operational procedures.2. Monitor resin and colorant feed and supply to assure continuous operation of the equipment. Verify that the correct product is produced using the correct resin in the correct color as specified by Production Scheduling. Coordinate preform and color changes as necessary.3. Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager of potential problems. Troubleshoot and profile machines as necessary. Work with the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.4. Account for machine scrap. Complete all required scrap tags and labels for scrap tracking. Process scrap as directed by the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager.5. Perform visual and technical tests on preforms to verify conformity to SQMS standards. Immediately report any out of specification product to the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager.6. Monitor support equipment such as dryers, chiller and crane system and immediately report any obvious malfunctions to the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager. Assure that any automated defect detection or quality test equipment appears to be operating correctly. Perform any tests to calibrate equipment as directed.7. Perform maintenance on equipment such as changing Husky neck rings and assist with mold cleanings.8. Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager.9. Complete any required reports as directed by the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager.10. Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager.11.
