Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a 12-hour night shift with a shift premium.

You will perform setup, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of blow molding and/or injection systems, and support operators to ensure safe, efficient production. The role requires at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical, mechanical and control systems, and experience with CMMS/work order systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years industrial maintenance experience.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Experience with CMMS or work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and/or changeover equipment, troubleshoot and repair, and perform preventive maintenance to meet scheduling.
• Monitor equipment for efficiency and quality, respond to maintenance calls promptly.
• Perform building maintenance and forklift preventive maintenance and repair.
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Repair and/or rebuild spare machine parts as needed.
• Perform testing and document paperwork for equipment and processes.
• Attend training classes as requested and maintain a safe workspace.
• Comply with safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.

We are now seeking talented individuals to join our team for the following role:THIS IS A 12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT POSITION WHICH INCLUDES A SHIFT PREMIUMJOB TITLE: Maintenance MechanicREPORTS TO: Maintenance Team Leader/Team LeaderBASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for set-up, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of blowmolding, and or injection systems room and any other related equipment. Assist Machine Operators and Line Technicians to insure safe, efficient operation of equipment to meet SQMS guidelines. Perform building maintenance and forklift preventative maintenance and repair as necessary.RESPONSIBILITIES: May do any combination of the following duties:1. Set-up and/or changeover equipment, troubleshoot and repair equipment and perform preventative maintenance on equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet scheduling requirements. Insure equipment is running safely and meeting necessary quality specifications before completion.2. Monitor equipment for adherence to efficiency and quality specifications. Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner. Notify the Maintenance Team Leader, Team Leader and other Maintenance Mechanics of potential problems as necessary.3. Perform building maintenance and document and test internal/external systems as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance and repair on forklifts and related equipment.4. Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.5. Repair and/or rebuild spare machine parts as needed.6. Perform testing and fill out paperwork for equipment and related processes as necessary.7. Attend training classes as requested.8. Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Team Leader.9. Perform other duties as requested by the Maintenance Team Leader and/or Team Leader.
