Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Jackson, MS is seeking a Machine Operator to perform basic machine operations, ensure proper setup, and produce quality parts. Candidates should read mechanical drawings, perform simple math, and troubleshoot minor machine issues with guidance from OMS.

You will work with computer-controlled or mechanical equipment, adhere to safety standards, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
• Basic math skills required for measurements and tolerances.
• Basic machine troubleshooting skills and ability to follow OMS instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic machines and ensure proper setup for quality output.
• Load/unload components and inspect using proper gauging tools.
• Make adjustments for changeovers and report issues to the team lead.
• Identify, troubleshoot and correct minor machine timeouts to minimize downtime.
• Set up and operate 1 up/down workstations and perform routine PMs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and 5S housekeeping in the work area.
