Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Machine Operator at our Jackson, Mississippi location to operate machinery, read blueprints, and perform inspections per OMS. The role requires basic math, troubleshooting, and adherence to safety and 5S standards.

You will set up and run 1 up/down workstations, perform monthly PMs, and assist with continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic machine trouble-shooting skills.
• Train to operate computer-controlled or mechanical-based machinery.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload/inspect components per OMS using proper gauging equipment safely.
• Make adjustments for changeovers to keep production on spec.
• Identify and correct minor machine time outs to avoid downtime.
• Set up/operate 1 up/down workstations efficiently.
• Perform monthly preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Complete rework and scrap documentation when required.
• Package service parts for shipment or inventory.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance processes and quality.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and 5S practices in the work area.
