Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is seeking a production worker responsible for meat formulation and grinding preparation. You will load grinders, verify ingredients, and monitor blends for consistency while maintaining batch records and traceability.

The role requires adherence to GMPs, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and safety protocols; forklift operations are essential. Working in a cold plant environment with PPE is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load grinder with raw meat.

• Complete batch sheets and rework logs as required.

Position Summary

Performs all activities related to the meat formulation and grinding/blending/mixing preparation of raw meat product for processing.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Load grinder with raw meat
• Scan, verify and log the raw meat information and ingredients
• Load raw meat from hopper to the blender
• Add ingredients per the established recipe requirements
• Monitor the blend during the mixing process; conduct process checks to verify the blend consistency
• Generate and apply labels to tubs with date, quantity, ingredients, etc. for lot traceability
• Complete the required paperwork, including batch sheets, rework usage log, etc.
• Assist with PT machines
• Train backup personnel
• Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
• Follow all safety rules and regulation per established company policies
• Operate a forklift/palletjack to pull and move raw materials
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required

Employee Safety Responsibilities

• Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay

Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.

• Continuously required to stand and walk.
• Frequently lifting above shoulders and also body bending.
• Occasional reaching/working above shoulders, hand twisting, fine motor of the fingers, and driving a forklift/palletjack.
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds, pull or push up to 300 pounds for a distance up to 6ft. Also carrying up to a distance of 10 feet.
• Will be exposed to loud industrial type environments commonly found at plants.
• Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
