Job summary

Schaeffler Group USA Inc. is seeking a manufacturing operator to prepare machines for production, monitor progress, and ensure quality by inspecting parts and addressing deviations.

The role emphasizes safe operation and adherence to documented procedures in a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, English communication skills, and the ability to operate medium-complex machinery while lifting moderate weights as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects when required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and between production sequences and take action on deviations.
• Operate and monitor machine/production processes per documented procedures.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects, and discard defective parts per protocol.
• Support maintenance in repair, downtime prevention, and machine inspection.
• Follow safety and PPE rules at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read Blueprints
