Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled Machine Operator at our Santa Isabel, PR location to set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery, ensuring quality and efficiency on the manufacturing line.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma with 1 year of relevant experience, is fluent in English and Spanish, and can work onsite in Puerto Rico. U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery in accordance with procedures.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products for tolerances with precision tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep workspace clean.
• Operate computer-controlled equipment to select and position machines.
• Interpret screens and materials, and assist with NC programming if needed.

We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machinery used in our production processes. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

• Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
• May make calculations and assist with numeric controlled programming.
• An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
