Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our Santa Isabel, PR site. You will set up, calibrate, and operate production machinery, following procedures to ensure quality and efficiency. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, plus 1 year of related experience; bilingual English/Spanish; U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a production machine per established procedures.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure machines.
• Adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks per specifications.
• Assist with numeric controlled programming as needed.
• Ability to read information on screens and materials for extended periods.
• Complete a post offer vision examination.

What You Will Do

• Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
• May make calculations and assist with numeric controlled programming.
• An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods.
• You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
