Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for hands-on mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, fabrication, and inspection. The role supports production at the Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico site, and relocation is not offered.

You will read blueprints, use hand and electrical tools, and ensure quality and safety in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have a HS diploma/GED with 1 year+ of relevant experience, be able to communicate in English, and be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Maintain inventory of product in workstations.
• Perform quality work checks, identify product defects and record identified defects.
• Rework and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Operate on occasions in other work areas or building, other production equipment according to their certification, experience and training.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs of critical and complex units.
• Have knowledge of SAP, MD04, MB51, CA03, CS03 at least (in areas that apply)
• An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.
