Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an onsite production operator in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. You will follow instructions, inspect machining work, perform routine maintenance, and set up/operate production machines according to procedures.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience; bilingual English/Spanish communication is required. U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against tolerances using precision tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Set up and operate production machines per established procedures and guidelines.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure machines.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks per specifications.
• Assist with calculations and NC programming as needed.
• Complete a post-offer vision examination as required.

What You Will Do

• Work from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
• May make calculations and assist with numeric controlled programming.
• An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
