Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an Electronics Assembler to build electronic devices and subassemblies at our Santa Isabel, PR site. You will use drawings, schematics, and hand tools to ensure precise assembly and high-quality results.

You will plan, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electronic hardware while complying with EH&S directions. The role requires reading screens and materials for long periods and residing in Puerto Rico at start date.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with up to 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical subassemblies and systems from drawings and schematics.
• Plan, fabricate, assemble, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electronic hardware.
• Perform routine and complex assembly operations to produce quality products.
• Analyze test results to validate acceptance criteria.
• Follow EH&S directions and procedures.
• Read information on screens for extended periods and pass a post-offer vision exam.

This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do

• Work from instructions, drawings, schematics, illustrations and process documentation to assemble a wide variety of electrical subassemblies and systems.
• Plan, fabricate, assemble, disassemble, set up, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electrical hardware and equipment.
• Perform routine, complex, and repetitive assembly operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• Analyze and evaluate test results to validate acceptance criteria.
• Practice and comply with environmental, health, and safety directions and procedures.
• An essential function of this role is the ability to accurately see, read, and interpret information on screens and materials for extended periods. You will be required to successfully complete a post offer vision examination.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
