Job Description

The Machine Operator Level 2 is a tiered position following successful evaluation of a Level One Operator after 1 year of experience running all pieces of Single Serve Equipment. This role is responsible for operating all equipment at optimal function and efficiency, maintaining up-to-date troubleshooting knowledge, and training Level 1 operators to enhance their skills. The Level 2 operator serves as the most knowledgeable person in the department regarding machine operation and communicates effectively with Single Serve Leadership and Maintenance Technicians.

Job Functions

Ensure all Level 1 training standards are maintained. Log and communicate good run settings with leadership. Make adjustments independently when appropriate, explaining reasons clearly. Assist Maintenance Technicians with major downtime issues and preventative maintenance. Communicate efficiency metrics and troubleshoot to restore machinery to steady operation. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all equipment.

Job Duties

• Operate production machinery to meet production and waste goals.
• Communicate issues and findings with leadership.
• Maintain a clean machine and work area.
• Maximize machinery efficiency and productivity.
• Record all changes and downtime accurately.
• Act as a liaison between Single Serve and Maintenance.
• Continuously update knowledge on equipment.
• Master primary and secondary machines (e.g., Rychiger/Schubert).
