Job summary

Zebra Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator II for the 2nd shift in San Diego, CA. You will operate and maintain manufacturing machines, perform rewinder setup, and follow detailed work orders and labeling requirements to ensure quality.

You’ll work under supervision with opportunities to train peers, contribute to safety and process improvements, and align with Zebra’s values. The role features a Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule with a wage of $23.00 per hour.

What We're Looking For

The Machine Operator II is responsible for operating and maintaining supplies manufacturing machines and equipment while strictly adhering to all quality and safety standards. Die cutter

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Demonstrates an understanding of the functions and basic mechanical workings of assigned machines under limited supervision.
• Setup & Conversion: Completes a full setup and operation of rewind machines that convert material from one roll size to another to form finished rolls of specified footage or diameter.
• Work Orders: Follows work order instructions and executes precise labeling requirements.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Uses hand tools to make necessary mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Quality & ISO Compliance: Performs standardized quality tests in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Safety & Standards: Adheres to established productivity standards and complies with all required safety practices, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Process Improvement: Primarily executes defined processes and procedures but may contribute suggestions for process improvement.
• Problem Solving: Resolves a variety of problems of limited complexity by following highly detailed instructions or procedures.
• Collaboration & Training: Builds productive working relationships internally within the immediate department or team. Trains other team members as directed by the supervisor or team lead.

Incentive Compensation

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 0% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
