Job summary

NEOTech in Longmont, CO is seeking a 2nd shift technician to solder PCB assemblies on a wave solder machine, following documented profiles and safety procedures.

You will verify program names, run equipment, perform maintenance, document results, and ensure board output meets IPC-A-610 standards and ESD guidelines. ISO9000/AS9100 exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• IPC-DVD-64C ID knowledge plus IPC standards familiarity.
• ERP systems to obtain operation specs and job data.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for maintenance and setup.
• Ability to work on multiple procedures/products with limited supervision.
• Must pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1–8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed.

Responsibilities

• Solder PCB assemblies on wave solder machine using specified profiles.
• Start-up and shut-down routines per procedures and safety rules.
• Perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance and log results.
• Follow Manufacturing Process Instructions and 6S objectives.
• Ensure boards meet IPC-A-610 standards and proper ESD handling.

*** 2nd Shift Hours ***Monday through Thursday from 3:45pm until 2:15amSummary:Soldering of PCB assemblies on the wave solder machine utilizing controlled programs and/or profiles specified by engineering. Ability to perform all start-up and shut down routines required as documented on the manufacturers or company procedures.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to start the equipment, verify the correct program or profile name outlined in Company documentation and run equipment to solder PCB assemblies.Ability to perform daily and weekly Preventative Maintenance, entering results into a maintenance log.Follow up on Manufacturing Process Instructions.Follow start-up (as well as shut-down) and safety procedures to operate machines.Review board output to assure product meets IPC-A-610 Standards.Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board HandlingUse of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ Moisture Sensitive Levels (MSL).Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training planSupport all corporate and site 6S objectivesPerform all other duties as assigned.Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:• Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.• Obtain operation specifications through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.• Knowledge of machine maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines.• Ability to work on multiple procedures / products.• Highly repetitive or routine duties.• Normally follows established procedures on routine work.• Works under moderate supervision.• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed.• Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality andproduction standard requirements.• Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity.• Ability to follow established procedures on routine work.• Typically requires little to no experience.Experience/Education:• High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience preferred.• Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products.• Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus.Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.Benefits Offered: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage; company-paid basic life/AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance; voluntary supplemental insurances, flexible spending accounts and employee assistance program (EAP).
