NEOTech in Longmont, CO is seeking a 2nd shift quality inspector to perform in-process PCB and chassis inspections using a microscope, calipers and a digital multimeter. The role emphasizes attention to detail and accurate documentation.

You will read assembly drawings, verify conformance to IPC/J-STD, and provide feedback to upstream processes. On-the-job training is provided; there is a strong team environment and safety focus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of electronics experience minimum preferred.
  • Experience with measuring devices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process inspection on PCBs and chassis at various steps in the manufacturing process.
  • Use microscope, calipers and digital multimeters for measurements.
  • Examine product to verify conformance to workmanship standards and assembly drawings using magnification.
  • Read and understand process documentation to ensure methods align with expectations.
  • Document non-conformances and provide feedback to up-stream processes.

*** This position is for 2nd Shift Hours ***Monday through Thrursday 3:45pm until 2:15amSummary:Perform in-process inspection on printed circuit boards and chassis at various steps in the manufacturing process. Use of microscope, calipers and digital multi-meters.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Attention to fine detailNear vision must meet Snellen 14/18, (20/30) or jaeger 2 in at least one eye, natural or corrected (with glasses is acceptable)To read and effectively communicate in EnglishExamine product to verify conformance to workmanship standards and assembly drawings using magnification (scope and/or ring light) for up to 8 hours a dayProvide critical feedback to promote process improvementsReference standards (IPC / J-STD) to verify solder joint compliance to product classRead and understand process documentation to ensure the methods of verifying product are in alignment with expectationsBasic computer skills and learn new software applications to monitor and document non-conformancesSupport team to produce high quality product by reviewing and provided feedback to up-steam processesOther duties as assignedJob Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to navigate in different software applicationsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamHigh attention to detailAbility to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basisAbility to inspect product through magnification for up to 8 hours a dayAbility to adapt to changing requirements and methodsWillingness to learn new skills and methods to verify product qualityDocument non-conformances on 1st piece inspectionsExperience/Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferred2+ years of electronics' experience minimum preferredExperience with measuring devices preferredJob OpportunitiesWill be provided with recurring certification for industry standardsWill be provided with on-the-job training to ensure compliance with processes and work instructionsOpportunities for cross training after introductory periodNEOTech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
