Job summary

NEOTech in Longmont, CO is seeking a Soldering Technician for 2nd shift to assemble PCBs using a wave solder machine and approved programs.

The role requires following IPC-A-610 standards, performing routine maintenance, and verifying product quality per engineering specifications. Strong attention to ESD, MSD handling, and adherence to documented procedures is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ISO9000/AS9100 is a plus.
  • Willingness to work on a 2nd shift.
  • U.S. Citizen due to ITAR/CUI compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Start equipment and verify program or profile names per docs.
  • Perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance and log results.
  • Follow manufacturing process instructions and start/stop procedures.
  • Ensure IPC-A-610 compliance and proper ESD handling.
  • Adhere to MSD handling requirements and training plans.

Job Details: Job Location: Longmont 0NK54 - Longmont, CO 80503, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 2nd, *** 2nd Shift Hours ***

Monday through Thursday from 3:45pm until 2:15am

Summary:

Soldering of PCB assemblies on the wave solder machine utilizing controlled programs and/or profiles specified by engineering. Ability to perform all start-up and shut down routines required as documented on the manufacturers or company procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to start the equipment, verify the correct program or profile name outlined in Company documentation and run equipment to solder PCB assemblies.
  • Ability to perform daily and weekly Preventative Maintenance, entering results into a maintenance log.
  • Follow up on Manufacturing Process Instructions.
  • Follow start-up (as well as shut-down) and safety procedures to operate machines.
  • Review board output to assure product meets IPC-A-610 Standards.
  • Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling
  • Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ Moisture Sensitive Levels (MSL).
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Job Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Obtain operation specifications through Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of machine maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Ability to work on multiple procedures / products.
  • Highly repetitive or routine duties.
  • Normally follows established procedures on routine work.
  • Works under moderate supervision.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1-8 and J-STD-001 Module 1 and 6 as needed.
  • Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low -level complexity.
  • Ability to follow established procedures on routine work.
  • Typically requires little to no experience.
Experience/Education:
  • High School Diploma /GED or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus.

Due to ITAR and / or CUI compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen.
