Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed is seeking a production operator to maintain safe and efficient use of equipment while ensuring accurate production and 5-S housekeeping. You will support supervisors, perform changeovers, and participate in safety programs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in manufacturing, along with the ability to read and follow SOPs, communicate clearly, and work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
• Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine cleaning of areas.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of process line and resolve production problems efficiently to minimize down time.
• Responsible for machine adjustments, product changeover, start-up and shutdowns activities.
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and teams.
• Follow all safety training and documents for this site.
• Ensure optimum operations of equipment by reporting needed maintenance.
• Report any and all quality related issues to the Supervisor.
• Work with maintenance in finding issues with the machine(s).
• Meet department’s key objectives.
• Participate in Company Safety program.
• Must understand and follow job specific SOP’s.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned consistent with the non-exempt functions.
