Job summary

TekniPlex in Indiana is hiring a Production Operator to support the manufacturing line. You will assist the Production Tech with order processing, setup, and changes, and help pack finished products.

You will perform quality inspections and tests, operate equipment, and prepare logs and time cards. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards including SQF/BRC/HACCP, and a 12-hour 2-2-3 shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports and time cards.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Tech with order processing, changes and set-up.
• Bags, boxes or palletizes finished product.
• Performs quality inspections and tests.
• Positions sheet rolls on unwind stand and starts sheet into formers and through the trim press.
• Assists in the production and operation of manufacturing process equipment.
• Prepares production logs, product tags and time cards as necessary.
• Operates scrap grinder as required and understands recycle system.
• Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.
• Remains compliant with SQF / BRC / HACCP requirements as per this location’s written “Food Safety & Quality Policy”.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, on a 2.2.3 rotation, 545am-6pm.
