Job summary

Carlisle Companies is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up, operate, and troubleshoot a range of manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment in Maryland. You will follow work orders, perform quality checks, and support packaging and material handling on the line.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Highly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.
• Able to safely operate a sit-down forklift – CCM’s forklift certification program is required.
• Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
• Ability to follow CCM’s policies, procedures, and processes.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
• Ability to learn and operate new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, thread the material through, and operate independently one machine (Shear, PNL, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut-to-Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock, Welder/Paint Booth).
• Follow daily manufacturing work orders with attention to materials and notations.
• Assist with operation of other machinery under supervision.
• Assist with end-of-line packaging and as needed.
• Band and palletize metal coils or sheets, label finished product.
• Perform quality checks for lengths, widths, and weights with proper tools.
• Achieve production goals while complying with safety requirements.
• Adjust machinery using feedback from monitoring equipment and perform quality control methods.
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and daily inspections.
• Keep work area orderly.
• Perform other duties as requested.
