Job description

UW Interco, LLC

Working on the coaster machine. Responsible for ensuring safe, quality, productive operations of, and implementing continual improvements in, production processes and equipment including inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure personal and team safety.
• Ensure quality standards for all processes and products are met.
• Ensure production standards for all processes and products are exceeded, through applied continual learning and improvement, or met (on a continual basis).
• Support team in successful completion of safe, quality, productive scheduled work.
• Maintain current and precise operational procedures and EPICOR accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and current records and practice effective housekeeping.
• Develop and/or maintain current and accurate operational procedures.
• Openness to team member training as needed to support the above responsibilities and cross-training.
• Interface with other business areas to secure necessary support (ex: Warehouse; SAW; Quality; Maintenance; Engineering).
• Seek and secure your team’s advice, assistance, and support as needed to fulfill responsibilities.
• Learn additional operations as assigned or time permits.
• Other duties as agreed or expected.

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Must be able to read and write English.
2. Must have basic math skills.
3. Must be regular, dependable in attendance and willing to devote necessary effort for timely completion of tasks.
4. Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical (industrial equipment or engineering) associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
5. Previous Machine Operator experience with ability to set and adjust equipment preferred.
6. Must be able to work independently and as a team member to accomplish the objective and fulfill the mission.
7. Must have excellent people skills necessary to work courteously and effectively with a diverse group of team members, customers, and suppliers.
8. Must have the ability to manage routine and non-routine situations.
9. Must be self-managed, assertive and an initiative-taker; and possess and make effective decisions.
10. Must be able to work under stress and time pressures while managing multiple concurrent projects or tasks.

Physical Requirements and Travel:
1. Lift up to forty-nine (49) pounds.
2. Push utility carts up to sixty (60) pounds.
3. Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
4. Stand up to ten (10) hours per day.
5. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
6. Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standard Bottom of Form.
7. Performs additional duties as assigned.
8. Currently, no travel duties.

Work Environment
1. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
2. Frequently exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles and dust.
3. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
