Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, production, textile, or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and safely operate heat sealing equipment.
  • Ability to follow work orders, instructions, and product specifications.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

About the Role:

The Machine Operator I is responsible for operating heat seal equipment used to seal and assemble large-format textile products and components. This position requires the operator to properly position, align, and maneuver large pieces of material through the heat-sealing process while ensuring finished products meet established quality and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heat seal machinery safely and efficiently to seal large textile products.
  • Position, align, and maneuver large fabric textile materials and components during the heat-sealing process.
  • Follow work orders, product specifications, and established procedures to ensure proper sealing.
  • Seal materials according to work orders, specifications, and established production requirements.
  • Prepare and properly position materials before heat sealing.
  • Monitor heat sealing operations to ensure seals are properly completed.
  • Inspect finished work for proper alignment, seal quality, defects, or other quality concerns.
  • Reposition and handle large garments throughout different stages of the sealing process.
  • Identify defective seals or material issues and report concerns to the supervisor.
  • Make basic equipment adjustments as trained and authorized.
  • Handle and move large materials throughout the production process.
  • Maintain required production and quality documentation.
  • Meet established productivity, efficiency, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, work instructions, and operating procedures.
  • Assist with material handling and other production activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
