Job summary

Estex Manufacturing is seeking a Material Handler II to support daily manufacturing by ensuring materials and WIP are available across production. You will move materials between stations, stock production areas, and maintain smooth workflow to minimize bottlenecks while upholding quality and safety standards.

The role requires reading work instructions, basic math, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum one year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, material handling, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, work orders, labels, and production documentation.
• Basic math skills including counting, measuring, and simple calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform repetitive production activities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing and production operations.
• Move materials and WIP between production stations to maintain continuous workflow.
• Supply production areas with the materials and components needed to complete scheduled work.
• Perform assigned manufacturing tasks, including assembly, material handling, turning, ringing, roping, grommet installation, riveting/snaps, and other production operations.
• Support multiple workstations and production areas based on workload and operational priorities.
• Monitor workflow and help prevent excessive WIP buildup and production bottlenecks.
• Perform basic quality checks and identify defects or workmanship concerns.
• Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and production priorities.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, quality concerns, and workflow delays to the Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Participate in cross-training and develop the ability to perform multiple manufacturing operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily safety, quality, and production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

The Material Handler II is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by ensuring materials, components, and work-in-process (WIP) are available where and when needed throughout the production process. This position performs a combination of material handling and manufacturing duties while supporting workflow efficiency across multiple departments. The Material Handler II helps maintain continuous production flow, minimizes bottlenecks, supports quality standards, and contributes to achieving departmental safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities:
