Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while frequently bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Overtime may be required based on production schedules and customer demand.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Verify product quantities, descriptions, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Process shipments using company shipping software and carrier systems.
  • Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with production and inventory teams to ensure orders are completed and shipped on schedule.
  • Inspect packaged products for damage, quality concerns, and compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in company systems.
  • Track shipments and assist in resolving delivery discrepancies or customer shipping issues.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts and warehouse projects as needed.
  • Work across multiple warehouse functions and departments as needed to support daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About the Role:

The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping customer orders accurately and on time.
