Job summary

PrideStaff is supporting a leading manufacturing facility in the Nashville area to hire a Machine Operator Helper on a full-time, apprenticeship-track role. Shift is Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, offering hands-on training alongside experienced machinists.

You will assist with setup, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment, load materials, keep a clean workstation, and perform basic quality checks while growing into a skilled trade.

Qualifications

• Machine shop experience or related hands-on training.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a technical trade.
• Basic familiarity with power tools.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials safely.
• Punctual, reliable and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Assist machinists with the setup, cleaning, and preventative maintenance of machinery, including lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment.
• Load and unload raw materials, and transport finished parts to various stations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Perform basic quality checks and inspect finished parts.
