Job summary

Lane Enterprises, LLC seeks an entry-level Machine Operator Assistant to support daily production tasks, learn equipment processes, and maintain a safe, organized work area. This role is designed for individuals looking to develop skills in manufacturing and advance into Machine Operator positions.

You will assist operators with setup and monitoring, handle material loads, and contribute to general labor tasks to keep the facility running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level position; no prior manufacturing experience required.
  • Interest in pursuing manufacturing or skilled trades.
  • Willing to learn and follow instructions under supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Machine Operators with setup, operation, and monitoring of manufacturing equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, including pipe and raw materials, as directed.
  • Observe machine operations to learn production processes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and lubrication as assigned.
  • Support production needs by assisting with general labor tasks across the facility.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Machine Operator Assistant supports production operations by assisting Machine Operators with daily tasks, learning equipment processes, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is an entry‑level position designed for individuals who are interested in developing skills in manufacturing and advancing into Machine Operator roles.

Job Requirements
  • Assist Machine Operators with setup, operation, and monitoring of manufacturing equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, including pipe and raw materials, as directed.
  • Observe machine operations to learn production processes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and lubrication as assigned.
  • Support production needs by assisting with general labor tasks across the facility.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and team members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school student (18+), recent graduate, or equivalent education preferred.

No Prior Manufacturing Experience Required, Training Will Be Provided. Interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing or skilled trades is strongly encouraged.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to climb, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to withstand varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to work in different positions for a very long period of time and ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel or walk for up to eight (8) hours at a time.
  • Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).
