Job summary

Staffmark Group in Bristol, TN is seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to help operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and maintain safe, efficient production lines in a fast-paced setting.

The role supports preventative maintenance tasks, repairs, and continuous improvement, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $15.00–$17.00 per hour. No relocation, immediate start possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required.
• Experience with lathes, milling machines, drill presses, or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or PLC systems beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment.
• Support maintenance of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform plumbing repairs and facility upkeep as needed.
• Help maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
• Assist with PLC programming and equipment improvements.
• Monitor contractor work and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
• Support warehouse and production operations when needed.
• Train new employees and assist with special projects.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
