Job summary

Southwire Company, a leading wire and cable manufacturer in Hawesville, KY, seeks motivated Machine Operators for a 12-hour swing shift. You will set up equipment, operate the machines, monitor product quality and work with teams to achieve daily production goals.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and tolerance for heat, cold, noise. Proficiency with MS Excel/Word; SAP desirable.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend production SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Set up equipment and ensure production materials are available.
• Operate the machines and observe them during production; stop the process if problems arise.
• Collaborate with co-workers and management to meet productivity and location goals.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and area.
• Flexibility to adapt to rotating shifts and overtime.
