Job summary

LiDestri Foods, Inc. is seeking a hands-on machine operator to safely run production lines, perform setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting while upholding GMP standards. You will document activities, handle raw materials, and participate in cross-training as needed.

Location is Rochester, NY; the role involves standing, lifting, and exposure to moving parts. Prior forklift experience and LO/TO certification are advantages for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior machine operation experience helpful.
• Must be able to wear PPE (cap, hairnet, ear protection, gloves, safety glasses).
• Ability to use basic computer and math functions is required.
• Familiarity with hand tools and testing equipment is a plus.
• Forklift experience is a plus; LO/TO certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery with setup, run, changeovers, and troubleshoot defects or malfunctions.
• Maintain GMP standards around machinery and equipment.
• Perform SOPs for machinery in the assigned area.
• Cross-train or train on equipment as directed by manager.
• Maintain accurate documentation and material handling in work orders.
• Work safely and ensure good attendance as per policy.
• Report food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
