The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining fabrication equipment in accordance with company policies and safety procedures. Coordinates job priorities with the Team Leader and Production Supervisor.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate fabrication equipment, such as Core-Drill, Trim Saws, Grinders, and CNC Lathe, following established procedures.
2. Inspect products using proper gauges.
3. Monitor workmanship quality to minimize scrap.
4. Maintain the equipment area in a clean and organized manner.
5. Maintain thorough knowledge of processes and procedures.
6. Troubleshoot problems and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve issues.
7. Provide and maintain accurate production records.
8. Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
9. Perform equipment maintenance as needed.
10. Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May require working nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience/Background

• At least 2 years’ experience in setup and operation of fabrication equipment preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred.
• CNC experience preferred.
• Experience with tooling and fixtures preferred.
• This position involves handling information subject to ITAR regulations. Must be a U.S. person or protected individual under ITAR, such as U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, or refugee.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Work may be performed in office or warehouse settings. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or climb for 66%+ of the workday. May require lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds 33-66% of the time. Possible exposure to dust.
