Job summary

AIS is hiring a Machine Operator – Fabric Cutting Machine in Leominster, MA. You will operate a computerized cutting machine to process fabrics for office furniture components, with a first shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support other department tasks (sewing, gluing, assembly, packing, material handling) when needed.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

FUNCTION

Using computerized cutting machine, cut various fabrics used on commercial office furniture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine Operator – Cutting:Cuts fabrics, vinyls, leathers using computerized cutting machine following established practices.
• Load & unload materials, operate machine, change tooling, read production paperwork, conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) inspections.
• High attention to detail.
• Follows established procedures to ensure correct application of fabrics.
• Assisting in other areas of the department (sewing, gluing, assembly, packing, material handling, etc.) when capacity issues arise.
• Other duties as assigned.
