Rolled Metal Products is seeking a dependable Slitter Operator to ensure efficient line productivity and adherence to customer specifications. You will set up spacers and knives, monitor the process, record exact specs, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires 1+ year machine operating experience, strong data accuracy, and good math/computer skills. Hoist equipment handling and coil movements are part of daily duties on site in Bucks County, PA.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Build setups by placing spacers and knives on the slitter arbors and cut metal coils to customer specs.
• Monitor the cutting process and adjust equipment for material gauge.
• Produce metal products meeting customer specs and quality requirements.
• Enter exact specifications on forms for data entry.
• Direct Slitter Helper to stage coils for efficiency.
• Notify manager when supplies are low.
• Safely operate forklift to move coils and skids.
• Operate overhead crane to move coils to/from the slitter.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Use precise measuring tools (tape measures, micrometers, nibblers, calipers).
• Cross-train the Slitter Helper.
• Follow all safety rules, quality standards, and company policies.

The Machine Operator is responsible for the overall productivity of the line to meet or exceed operational goals set by the Plant Manager.

Schedule of 6:00 AM -2:30 PM Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Slitter Operator position. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

• Build set-ups by placing spacers and knives onto the slitter arbors and cut metal coils to customer specifications.
• Monitor the process of metal being cut and adjust equipment accordingly for the gauge of the material.
• Produce metal products to conform to customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Enter data legibly and accurately of the exact specifications onto the appropriate forms for eventual data entry into the computer.
• Direct Slitter Helper how to stage coils to be processed for maximum efficiency.
• Inform Operations Manager when supplies to perform job duties are in low supply.
• Safely drive the forklift in the plant to move coils and skids to designated areas.
• Operate the over-head crane to move coils to the slitter from storage and/or from the slitter to next appropriate area.
• Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.
• Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers, and calipers.
• Cross train the Slitter Helper.
• Adhere to all RMP safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Adhere to all RMP handbook policies and procedures.
