The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing, and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. Job Description

The operator of the Cut and Pack process will be responsible for running an automated system that cuts and packages sandpaper sheets. Responsibilities include changeovers, loading materials, conducting quality checks, and ensuring smooth process flow. As a Cut and Pack Specialist, maintaining a positive work environment by adhering to safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Training, Experience, etc.

Proficiency*

• Understanding proper product flow on the machine - Intermediate
• Following 5S procedures related to machine cleanliness and tool organization - Intermediate
• Recording downtime, machine breakdowns, and organizational failures in daily management sheets - Senior
• Using HMI to select proper programs - Intermediate
• Mechanically changing over automated machines using work instructions and proper training - Intermediate
• Following BPS standards and understanding their interactions - Entry

Additional Information

• Loading materials onto the machine as needed
• Operating pin lift, pallet lift, and hoist
• Setting up and successfully starting the machine
• Making necessary adjustments to the machine
• Assisting in troubleshooting and repairs according to escalation plan

• The machine features a motorized feeding system with clamp beams working on an idle conveyor, with clamp beams placed before and after the cutting head.
• The touch screen allows setting material width between cuts to minimize waste. A recipe menu saves setup data for different configurations, enabling quick recall for new setups.
