Job Opportunity - SMT Production Operator

Work Schedule: 1st Shift (M-F 7am-3pm); OT 5am-3pm; Saturdays as needed (5am-11am)

Reports to: Group Leader

Job Location: Spartronics; 2333 Reach Rd; Williamsport, PA 17703

Role Description:

As an SMT Operator at Spartronics, you will work on the assembly and repair of electronic circuit board assemblies using Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment. You’ll operate machines, perform inspections, and ensure quality standards are met. This hands-on role requires movement across different areas of the production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate SMT machines including middle of the line machines, Pre-AOI, Reflow oven, and tower loader.
• Assist with front of the line operations such as screen printer, SPI, Camelot dispenser, stringing process, and x-ray components.

Team Support:

• Support Line Leader by covering key front-line equipment when required.
• Be flexible to work in different departments across the production line as needed.

Process Compliance:

• Follow all production, engineering, maintenance, and safety procedures strictly.

Safety Expectations:

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Use appropriate PPE where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and SOPs.
• Basic math skills.
• Use measurement tools accurately.
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality.
• Troubleshooting ability and following instructions in various formats.
• Pass a background check.
• US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship).
