Job description

Join to apply for the Machine Operator/AR Technician role at Hoya Vision Care.

Responsibilities include:

1. Following SOPs and best practices for the AR/HV department.
2. Ensuring lenses are free of dust and debris.
3. Inspecting, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for AR coating.
4. Setting up lenses in domes and placing domes into the AR machine.
5. Performing machine maintenance, including cleaning exterior and interior parts.
6. Assisting in routing work.
7. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
8. Achieving hourly production goals and yield.
9. Working with computer-controlled equipment.

Qualifications include experience in the optical industry (preferred), good hand-eye coordination, ability to work as part of a team, basic math skills, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. Must read and write English well, analyze yield data, and have experience with automated equipment. Problem-solving skills and computer knowledge are essential.

Physical requirements involve standing, handling, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in tight spaces. Safety gear such as glasses and gloves are required, and exposure to humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise is expected.
