Shift: Days & Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-4:30pm
Requirements: 3 years Medical Records and 1 year release of information experience.
Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of related work experience in medical records with 1 year of release of information experience. Our ROI team ensures all regulatory requirements are followed, reconciles medical record activity, maintains records in centralized locations, retrieves charts, and scans, indexes, and validates records.
This is a fully remote position and available only in the following states: AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, WA, WI & WY.

This position manages a high volume of requests for confidential patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Federal, state, and regulatory guidelines across the Banner Health system. May act as a leader and liaison, facilitating high-quality customer service and overseeing workflow and process improvements.
Requires knowledge of health information management, demonstrated through 1+ years post-high school education in medical records and information systems, plus 1 year release of information experience. Must have a thorough understanding of health information practices, medical terminology, and relevant regulations. Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Technical proficiency in Windows, EHR systems, and databases is required.
Current enrollment in RHIT or RHIA programs, experience coordinating work groups, and a background in medical terminology are preferred. Additional education or experience related to the role is also advantageous.
