Job summary

Pretium Packaging is hiring Machine Operators to set up and operate blow molding lines in Salt Lake City, UT. You will monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and inspect containers to ensure quality. Maintain proper material levels and keep work area clean while following safety protocols.

You must read blueprints, adapt to production goals, and work well in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork. Overtime and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a machine operator in the plastics industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Knowledge of blow molding machine operation and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with different types of plastic materials and their properties.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks and inspections.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• On a daily basis will be responsible for assigned production lines to ensure that product is produced in accordance with established quality and product standards.
• Must familiarize yourself with the daily production goals so they are achieved for each line assignment.
• Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift.
• Will operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as perform preventative maintenance and report any problems.
• Machine Operators will perform quality checks on containers to ensure proper specifications are maintained.
• Document any problems or adjustments made to assigned machinery.
• Check and maintain defined levels of all raw materials used in production on assigned machinery.
• Keep all assigned machines and area neat and clean of debris.
