Job summary

Mars Wrigley in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to join a Dove chocolate production team. The role covers a night 12-hour shift (10:30 PM–7:00 AM) with starting pay at $24.10/hour plus a $1.50 shift premium, and benefits from day one.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year manufacturing experience, and proficiency with MS Office and email. You will operate and changeover equipment, perform quality checks, and assist maintenance as needed.

  • Performs quality control tasks and logs results.

  • Performs ad hoc tasks.

  • Pay: Based on experience starting at $24.10/hour+ and $1.50 shift premium
  • This site manufactures DOVE chocolate
CurrentShift Schedule (2026)
  • Shift: 3rd(Night)
  • Schedule: Monday- Friday
  • Hours: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM (flexible pending business needs)
Future Shift Schedule (2027):

Transition to a 12-hour night or day shift schedule (Further details will be provided)

Description of Role

Machine Operators (Team Members) function as an expert member of a manufacturing area team responsible for the efficient production of quality products.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail
Physical Requirements
  • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in non-climate-controlled areas including hot, cold and wet conditions.
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree or certifications
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles
  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
  • Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area
  • Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level
  • Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
  • Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks
  • Any ad hoc tasks
