Overview

Mars Wrigley – Machine Operator- Elizabethtown, PA

Pay: Based on experience starting at $24.10/hour plus $2/hour shift premium

  • This site manufactures DOVE chocolate.
Shift Schedule
  • Current Shift Schedule (2026):
  • Shift: 2nd (Afternoon)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Hours: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (flexible pending business needs)
  • Future Shift Schedule (2027): Transition to a 12-hour night or day shift schedule. Further details will be provided.
Description of Role

Machine Operators (Team Members) function as an expert member of a manufacturing area team responsible for the efficient production of quality products.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in software systems including MS Office and e-mail

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
  • Capable of working in non-climate-controlled areas including hot, cold and wet conditions
  • Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certifications
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles
  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
Key Responsibilities
  • Performs activities and tasks within a manufacturing line or area
  • Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Takes corrective actions to reach root cause level
  • Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
  • Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventive maintenance (PM)
  • Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality checks and keep detailed logbooks
  • Any ad hoc tasks
