The Machine Operator will operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. Role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. The Machine Operator is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

Machine Operator
Hours:
8-hour shift, 3rd Shift from 11PM to 7:30AM, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
  • Be punctual and adhere to the work schedule.
  • Work effectively with others, demonstrating a One Team Cross Functional attitude.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes to drive change within the plant.
  • Follow company General Manufacturing Policies and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck, blow pin, and mechanical changes.
  • Operate blow-mold/PET/injection molding machines to produce quality bottles.
  • Follow quality control procedures and blow mold process guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues; perform minor repairs on equipment.
  • Conduct bottle inspections and quality checks, including drop tests.
  • Make adjustments to meet product specifications.
  • Report abnormalities, defects, and quality issues immediately.
  • Monitor and replenish packaging materials as needed.
  • Handle finished goods and ensure proper labeling and packaging.
  • Document daily production reports and maintenance requests.
  • Follow instructions from Lead Operator or Supervisor and seek assistance for unusual problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with variations depending on the plant.
Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 3 years of blow molding experience. Basic math skills and computer knowledge required.

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

Training: Complete Altium Production/Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire.

Physical Demands:

Must frequently stand, walk, grasp, reach, and occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and temperature fluctuations. PPE required in production areas.
