Job summary

Wolfgang Confectioners is seeking experienced Machine Operators at our Camp Hill facility to support our confectionery production. This full-time, non-exempt role involves operating candy-making and packaging equipment, monitoring quality, and maintaining safety standards.

You will follow procedures, complete production records, and collaborate with Supervisors and team members to ensure efficiency and product quality. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with benefits and weekly pay options.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Willingness to operate and maintain candy packaging equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow production documents.
  • Production/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production and match tallies with Supervisor.

Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening forEXPERIENCED Machine Operators at our Camp Hill Facility.

This role is responsible for the technical packing operation and/or technical manufacturing operation of quality confections. This role operates various candy-making and packaging equipment while following detailed company procedures and instructions.

Job Description and Duties

  • Monitor production and correlate production tallies with Supervisor.
  • Operate a variety of candy-making and packaging equipment, including rotating pans, belt coaters, enrobers, bar lines, baggers, pouchers, and flow wrappers.
  • Make necessary machine adjustments according to specifications.
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time. Including but not limited to tote tags, Production Tally sheet, Lot Tracking Sheet, Packaging Verification Sheet, and Cleaning Checklist.
  • Perform routine quality checks, including metal detection, weight/ratio verification, and packaging inspections
  • Ensure lot traceability and support inventory control processes.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with team members, Supervisors, and Leads.
  • Oversee the production workers throughout sanitation duties and cleans work area and machines at end the of shift or other designated time.
  • Work collaboratively with co-workers to maximize efficiency, assisting with tasks as needed and remaining flexible to take on a variety of duties. For example, serving as a production worker in multiple roles.
  • Contribute ideas to improve safety, efficiency, and overall operations.
  • Comply with company and OSHA safety polices.
  • Follow all Wolfgang Food Safety, Quality, GMP and Sanitation policies and programs to assure product quality.

Skill level-based range starts at $18/hr.

Person Protective Equipment required:

Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment

  • Hearing Protection when required
  • Gloves when required

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent is desired.
  • Understanding of mechanical or electronic components of the equipment.
  • Fundamental knowledge to follow directions.
  • Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

Summary
