Job summary

Wolfgang Confectioners is seeking a Quality Technician to coordinate and implement food safety standards across the site. You will train staff, manage product testing and oversee the SQF program to ensure compliance with HACCP and HARPC requirements, while maintaining GMPs and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent is desired.
• Fundamental knowledge to follow directions.
• Production/Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the documents
• Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, communicate, train and maintain consistent, reusable, food safety process standards for Quality Assurance.
• Manage product testing as required by customers.
• Oversee the Wolfgang Safe Quality Foods Program.
• Attain and maintain SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing across the facility.
• Assist with HACCP and HARPC program improvements.
• Ensure GMPs and sanitation SOPs compliance and proper training documentation.
• Obtain excellent quality results as measured by audits and customer feedback.
• Develop, implement, and sustain new methods to improve quality and food safety.
• Promote Food Safety and Quality initiatives to customers and inquiries for information.

The Quality Technician is responsible for coordinating, communicating, trainingand maintaining consistent, reusable, food safety process standards for Quality Assurance across the company. The Quality Technician assists in the management of the coordination and execution of all food safety, and internal and external quality systems. This is a highly technical position that will directly impact the level ofworkplace safety, plant sanitation and food safety and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for coordinating, communicating, training and maintaining consistent, reusable, food safety process standards for Quality Assurance
• Manages product testing as required by customers
• Oversight of Wolfgang Safe Quality Foods Program
• Attainment and Maintenance of SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing across the full facility
• Assists with continuous improvement of the Wolfgang Confectioners' Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program and Hazard Analysis Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) program.
• Ensures understanding and compliance with GMP's and sanitation SOP's, allergen awareness, food safety and food security concepts, attaining food quality standards and ensuring documentation of all training
• Obtains excellent quality results, as measured by customer complaint frequency, product evaluation scores, internal and external facility and operational audit scores, quality systems compliance, and other formal and informal feedback mechanisms, using new and existing methods, procedures, and systems
• Develops, implements, and sustains new methods and procedures to drive improvements in quality and food safety
• Assists with promotion of Food Safety and Quality initiatives to customers/potential customers, to include handling requests for information regarding Quality Statements and Procedures
• Complies with, demonstrates, and promotes company core values and behavioral standards
• Oversee continuity of inter-working relationships of all Wolfgang staff to provide most effective food safety and quality programs
• Maintains and stays current with all Food Safety laws from all applicable governmental authorities
• Stays current with new trends in Food Safety and Quality

Requirements
