Job summary

RM Palmer Company, LLC is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to support our confectionery production on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will run and monitor production equipment, ensure product quality, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced factory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sound mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or production preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment (mixers, depositors, packaging machines, etc.).
• Perform changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain product integrity.
• Monitor product quality throughout production, troubleshoot issues, and make all adjustments as needed.
• Complete minor operator-level maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Perform scheduled operator-level preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
• Follow standardized recipes and production procedures to ensure consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety standards.
• Record production data and report any issues to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
