Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct hire opportunity open for a CNC Machine Operator III at our manufacturing plant in Virginia Beach, Virginia!

The CNC Machine Operator III is responsible for setting up, loading, and operating CNC equipment, including grinders, lathes, and machining centers. This role requires reading and interpreting programs, making precise adjustments to zero and reference points, and setting tool registers, offsets, and compensations to ensure optimal performance. Successful candidates are self-motivated team players with a strong aptitude for computers and mechanical systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspects parts visually before running machines
• Sets up machines per work instructions
• Makes minor adjustments to programs, such as work offsets, program stops, etc
• Sets up gauge heads for high tolerance sizing
• Inspects parts per process sheets
• Adjusts machine to assure accuracy
• Dresses grinding wheels and change diamond when needed
• Deburrs completed parts
• Works to very close tolerances which require digital micrometers and dial indicators
• Performs daily preventative maintenance
• Interprets and uses Vernier calipers, micrometers, and various gauges
• Works in the micron tolerances

Required Experience

• 7 years of experience operating CNC Machining equipment: Required
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
• Experience with pneumatic and manual hand tools: Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel): Required
• Valid Drivers, license must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch Insurance standards.

Job Requirements

• Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
• Ability and willingness to travel (up to 25%) domestically and internationally

Physical Requirements

• Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 15lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
• Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
• All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
