BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company in Iron Mountain, Michigan, is seeking an associate to operate shop equipment and support metal fabrication operations. The role emphasizes blueprint Reading, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.

Starting wage is $18.97 per hour plus a 5% shift differential, with evening hours Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:00pm and potential overtime. High school diploma or GED is required; vocational training or prior machine-operating experience is

Competenze

• Reads blueprints accurately and follows detailed specifications.
• Uses measuring tools and devices to verify tolerances and dimensions.
• Works with basic machine shop equipment and safety procedures.

Mansioni

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, de-burr, and grind steel plate and parts as required.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus components as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on machines per the Employer's guidelines.
• Carry out first article inspections and other quality checks per the Quality System.

Starting Wage:

$18.97 + (5%) Shift differential = $19.92

Hours:

Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm (Overtime could make hours vary)

What Will You Do?

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, de-burr, and grind steel plate, sheet and structural shapes as required by the Employer.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required by the Employer.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning as required on each machine as defined by the Employer.
• Perform first article and other piece part inspections as required by the Quality System defined by the Employer

What Do You Need?

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and devices.
• High school diploma or GED required.
