Job summary

BOSS Snowplow, a division of The Toro Company, Iron Mountain, Michigan, is hiring a 2nd shift machine operator. You will operate metal fabrication equipment, read blueprints, and inspect parts to ensure quality.

Starting wage is $18.97 plus a 5% shift differential (roughly $19.92 per hour). Overtime may vary. High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or previous machine operating experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and devices.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Shear, saw, laser cut, bend, drill, and grind steel parts as required.
• Form and drill copper bus as required.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning on machines.
• Perform first article and other part inspections per the Quality System.

Starting Wage: $18.97 + (5%) Shift differential = $19.92

Hours

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm

What Will You Do?

• Shear, saw, laser cut, plasma cut, bend, roll, drill, tap, punch, cope, wire brush, de-burr, and grind steel plate, sheet and structural shapes as required by the Employer.
• Form, cut, bend, punch, and drill copper bus as required by the Employer.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning as required on each machine as defined by the Employer.
• Perform first article and other piece part inspections as required by the Quality System defined by the Employer

What Do You Need?

• Vocational training or previous experience in a machine operating setting is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to use measuring tools and devices.
• High school diploma or GED required.
