Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure that only quality products are packaged and that productivity goals are met, while following safe practices and company procedures.

You will operate 2 to 3 machines on the production floor, inspect every part for conformance, wrap and pack as per SOP, and promptly alert supervision about any non-conforming parts.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a HS diploma or GED.
• Must communicate effectively with other departments.
• Willingness to follow WI/SOP and safety rules.

Job description

As a Machine Operator, the main responsibility is to ensure that only quality products are packaged and that productivity is met, while following safe practices and company procedures and protocols. You are expected to work cooperatively and communicate with all employees working in your cell. You are also expected to work with and help other employees across the Production Floor as directed.

• Punch in no more than 5 minutes before shift start and no more than 5 minutes after shift change.
• Take breaks and lunches following the preset schedule or as directed by the Supervisor.
• Operate 2 to 3 Machines (Production Lines) as assigned by Supervisor
• Inspect every part that is produced on the production line and ensure that each part conforms to quality standards outlined in relevant Work Instructions (WI).
• Immediately alert Lead Op or Production Shift Leader or other relevant personnel upon observation of the first and any subsequent questionable or non-conforming parts.
• Trimming any excess flash completely and consistently as per relevant standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Removing part runner with drill or other tools as per relevant SOP
• Hand wrapping and packaging as per relevant SOP and WI.
• Supporting “Pack-Out” as per relevant SOP and WI
