Base Pay: $22.00 per hour, plus $1.25 per hour shift differential

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3 pm-11 pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate 4 (PA4) is a training position through which Associates may advance to the Production Associate 5 (PA5) position. Through this training position, associates will learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products and accessories: ensuring that extruder outputs are consistent with product specifications and that quality assurance standards are maintained by inspecting finished product for consistency.

Associates must be in the PA4 position for a minimum of 6 months and be able to pass proficiency tests to be eligible for promotion to the PA5 position. Associates that are unable to pass the proficiency tests for the PA4 position within a 12 month period will be demoted back to the position held prior to becoming an PA4.

• Learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line according to start-up check list
• Maintain extruder and all peripheral line equipment settings (embosser, sterlco, dies, MRF, etc.) to produce outputs that are consistent with product specifications
• Perform Quality Assurance responsibilities that include conducting tests on finished product to determine quality within established ranges
• Notify Supervisory personnel of deviations for prompt correction
• Communicate with Maintenance and Shift Supervisors about machine malfunctions
• Assist PA5 with troubleshooting and equipment adjustments to maintain line consistency
• Conduct line checks for product consistency, including thickness, width, length, etc.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness
• Monitor and ensure quality of packed products
• Relieve line associates for breaks
• Share knowledge and communicate effectively across shifts
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately
• Follow production schedules and specifications
• Adhere to health and safety practices and PPE requirements
• Assist with equipment maintenance and training of new personnel

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED
• Six months of related or production experience
• Ability to perform functions of lower-level Production Associate positions
• Reading, writing, and mechanical skills
• Good mechanical and math aptitude
• Positive attitude and excellent attendance
• Quality and safety conscious, team player
• Good communication and manual dexterity
• Ability to lift up to 86 lbs regularly and team lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
