Now Hiring: 2nd Shift Saw Machine Operator Monday through Friday 2pm-10:30pm
Pay: $22–$23 per hour
Location: Bloomington, MN

Join our team as a Saw Machine Operator on 1st shift and be part of a company that values safety, precision, and continuous improvement. We’re looking for a dependable, safety-focused professional with experience in machine operation—ideally within the metals industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate saw machines and other material handling equipment including cranes and forklifts.

• Accurately pull, inspect, and verify materials before processing.

• Set up machines safely and correctly per work order specifications and setup notes.

• Process materials according to detailed written instructions.

• Perform in-process inspections to ensure products meet specifications; record measurements as required.

• Communicate effectively with sales and production teams regarding order requirements or discrepancies.

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

• Manage material identification tags accurately following written procedures.

• Assist with material packaging according to work instructions.

• Maintain measuring instruments and weighing scales in proper working condition.

• Identify, document, and separate scrap or non-conforming materials.

• Provide performance feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.

• Support and participate in lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiatives.

• Train new team members as needed.

• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of workplace safety.

• This role operates in a warehouse environment and involves working with heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

• Prior experience as a machine operator in a warehouse or metals industry environment.

• Forklift operation experience required.

• Comfortable using hand-held measuring tools.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital systems.
