Job summary

Cyruspies in Tarboro, NC is hiring a Machine Operator for 2nd/3rd shift. You will set up and maintain equipment, operate assigned machines, and keep a clean, safe work area while meeting production documentation requirements.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, endure 8–12 hour shifts in a production environment with PPE, and follow GMPs and safety rules. Flexibility and basic computer skills are needed; cross-training on other lines may occur.

Qualifications

• Must have 3.0 attendance occurrences or less, no more than 1 active disciplinary action, and must have been in current position for at least 6 months.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Practice good safety habits and have a good safety record.
• Practice good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
• Have and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to work with support groups to make sure lines are ready to start on time and minimized downtime.

Requirements (minimum requirements to be considered for the job)

Must be willing to work in a production environment requiring safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe. All PPE is provided by Sara Lee Frozen Bakery.

Must be willing to withstand cold and hot environments

Must sweep and clean area during and after shift.

Perform additional tasks as needed to include, but not limited to cross training in other areas.
